Backyard camping, Pumpkin Patch

Jacob and I wanted to go camping over fall break, but we needed to take a "staycation." So we took advantage of our awesome back yard! First, Jacob helped me set up the tent.

Then we had dinner cooked over the fire (yummy BBQ chicken legs).

And, of course, s'mores!

The next day, we went to Mark's Melon Patch (which, in the fall, becomes Mark's Pumpkin Patch).

Jacob enjoyed his fall break, starting with Lee County football, then a night "camping" in the back yard.

Meanwhile, Ryan is still VERY cute. He likes to splash in his bath. This is probably his last bath in the sink; time to move to the tub. (I had quite a mess to clean up after this video!)

Ryan started eating veggies this week.. he didn't know quite what to do with the green beans in his mouth at first,but he got the hang of it

Ryan likes to move and groove in his crib. Here he is just as I went in to wake him.

and he LOVES his giraffe that Aunt Laura got him - we named him "Spots" and Ryan sleeps with him like this all the time - wtih things on his face.. He's gonna LOVE camping in a tent one day!

Off to School!

Jacob's first day of Pre-K is today. He was very excited and loves his new backpack. He is excited to ride the school bus too. He will ride with daddy to the high school and then take a transfer bus to his school each morning. It really seems like yesterday he was Ryan's age. Where did these 4 years go?!
