So apparently we haven't blogged in several weeks. BOO ON US! Here's Part 1 of our update on what we've been up to.
On March 13 and 15, the Lee County Bands participated in GMEA District 2 Large Group Performance Evaluation. Back in the day we called it "concert festival." Symphonic Band played Level III/IV and earned an Excellent rating, with a Superior in sightreading. Wind Ensemble (the top group) played Level V/VI and earned Straight Superiors, the best you can get. (Yay!)
On March 18, we had our annual Dinner on the Grounds at church. After lunch, it was time to play. It wasn't very windy, but we decided to try to fly a kite anyway.

That night afternoon we set up the tent in the backyard. No school on Monday, so we cooked hotdogs over the campfire, had s'mores for dessert, and Jacob and Daddy spent the night in the tent. Fun!
