Photos!

We had a fun weekend last weekend, especially on Monday with no school for President's Day. It was a nice sunny day, so I decided that while Mommy was running some errands, we needed to get in the back yard.

The boys L-O-V-E to swing. Ryan walks up to his swing and says "EH!! Tees!" (Translation: "EH! Please!") He is all smiles whenever I am pushing him.

Tammy picked up a gently used Big Wheel over the weekend, and it's been ... um ... interesting trying to get Jacob to pedal it. He can pedal his bicycle - sort of - but I guess this is a little more tricky. He doesn't like to get his feet going in a circle. Instead he just pushes straight ahead, back and forth. Any suggestions on how to cure this would be appreciated. In the meantime, Ryan decided he would help Jacob along:

Ryan likes it, too:
:)
In other news: Jacob is blazing through Kindergarten. He has already earned enough "credits" (by demonstrating mastery of state standards) to be promoted to 1st grade. We're very proud of him. :)

Jacob lost his first tooth tonight! He is beyond excited :) Guess we better get to the bank.

Preparing for Ryan's BIG day!

Ryan turns TWO on Valentine's Day - or as we call it in our house - "Ryan's Birthday!!!" Feburary 14th. He loves cars right now so we are going to make him a cake with a road on it and some cars. I can't believe he will be two... Where did this past year go?!!!

Getting ready for Valentine's Day

Jacob and I had such fun making these treats for his class. He signed his name on each and every one and helped me with gluing. Fun time to spend with him. We tried extra hard not to eat all the M&M's while "working" on these.

Some cute Ryan pics

So January has come and gone, and we didn't blog very much. Oops.
So, here's what happened in January in the Carter house:
- School started again.
- I took seven students to an honor band festival at UGA, which was awesome. Meanwhile, Tammy was left at home by herself, which was not awesome.
- The following week, Grandma and Papaw came! Then Tammy and I went to Savannah for three days while Grandma and Papaw stayed with the boys. I attended the state music educator convention, and we both got to hang out with old friends and enjoy great meals. We had dinner on Thursday night at Lady & Sons (Paula Dean's restaurant), courtesy of Fruhauf Uniforms. Dinner on Friday night was at Vic's on the River, courtesy of Art's Music Shop.
- Jacob is becoming a very good reader.
- Ryan is growing and learning new "tricks" every day. He's very cute!
