New place for Jacob photos online

Tammy set up a new place online for Jacob pics. Click here to visit Jacob's new album on Picasa. There is also a link on the sidebar on the right.

For Grammy

Apparently Grammy wanted Cousin Ben and me to make handprints for her at Turkentucky. Well, we got distracted, and I guess she forgot, because Mommy and Daddy found two handprint kits with plaster and a mold in their room after they left.
So Mommy and Daddy brought the kit home, and today we made my latest handprint. As you can see, I didn't like it AT ALL! The plaster was all squishy, and Daddy was holding my hand down in it. He wanted me to be still, and of course I didn't want to do that.

Somehow Daddy managed to get me to hold still long enough. I sure wish Grammy was here to do it, though. She is much more gentle than Daddy!

sleepy head

Yesterday we put Jacob in his crib for some playtime. We started doing this every day so he can learn to play better by himself with his toys and it gives me a chance to get a bath in private :) So, we put him in there and usually we hear all kinds of noise as he "talks" to his toys and makes a racket. It got quiet and this is what we found. All the toys were on the ground and drool on the crib :) PS - Aunt Laura we still love our Turkentucky shirt!

new things

Last night Hank came home with this horsey. He used it's sound effects in his concert. I put it with Jacob's toys and let him find it this morning. I showed him how to press the ear and it makes a trotting sound - then "neys". It didn't take long for this to become his new favorite thing.

Jacob has also been warming up to his little bike that we got eons ago. He now climbs on and rides around the house - he finally sits down on it to make it go - up till now, he's been "walking" it around the house :)

And..... I have been working with Jacob on sign language until he decides to speak some words we can understand :) He has learned "all done" when he's in his highchair. We also pray before we eat and he holds his hands together while we pray. And today - he is signing "please" for when he wants more - or wants anything. We are tired of the grunting and pointing - so this is working much better :) Yay Jacob!

the little charmer

Jacob was a little turd for most of today. He wouldn't eat his veggies and threw a royal fit. So after some screaming - he calmed down and then became real playful. He even said "ma ma ma" - but that was it - one time. Tried to get him to say it again and, of course, he looked at me with a big ole smile and proclaimed "DA DA DA!!". That's what he usually does. Just because I want him to say it - he will definitely say the opposite. Anyway - here's a cute pic of the ham-bone child of ours.

Fun at the park

Today was such a beautiful day....took Jacob to the park to explore the playground, sticks and acorns. He tried to eat a few...I also had fun with "Hank's" new camera :) I have figured out how to take black/white pics. It has so many features - stay tuned for more creative shots as I learn more features.

I had to leave the room (and laugh)!

Yesterday Jacob got into his diapers AGAIN! So I decided to try a "time out" and see if he could get a clue that this was NOT a good idea in the future. So, I took all the toys out of the crib and put him in there - gave him the "mommy face" and sternly told him to sit down and I closed the door. A few minutes later I hear a banging on the wall (his crib is right next to the wall). So I go in there and he's holding on to the rails and bouncing up and down having a grand ole' time. I immediately had to leave because I could not help but smile and laugh. I'ts our own fault as we sorta taught him that bouncing on our bed was fun if he held on to the footboard. Oh well - guess you had to see this to get how funny it was - but just thought I'd share with you. I'll get this parenting thing down one day :)

Christmas Parade

Today we went to watch daddy's band in the Christmas parade. I sure had fun eating candy :)

Here's the band..
and here's a really cool "choo choo bus"... it even sounded like a real train!
