great pics -- looks like a fun time
Ok - so I've been meaning to comment for a few days now -- I'm not sure what the big deal is about the Str. Date Cookies.. I finally had one at Tom and Sallies (one, 1) and it was good. I enjoyed it.. It was also incredibly sweet and sticky - so i don't know how people eat stacks of them at a time, even if they are glued together. But they are a good cookie.
The big deal about the strawberry date cookies is:
- holiday tradition (I don't make them except at Christmas -- too much trouble, I guess)
- I love them, Dad loves them, but Tammy, Mom, and a bunch of other people HATE them. I made them for a gathering at church one time when I was in college, and I will always remember the pastor's face when he tried one. He thought he was about to bite into a chocolate chip cookie. SURPRISE! He spit it out. Haha!! More for me!!
I throw up in my mouth a little every time I taste them.
