Georgia Peanut Festival

Today we went to the Georgia Peanut Festival. If you don't know, Georgia grows tons of peanuts. This dinky town down the road is where ConAgra Foods is, and they make Peter Pan and Great Value (Wal-Mart) brand peanut butter. YUMMY :) So - we decided to check it out. While there we tried a grilled PB&J which was really good. They also had samples of seasoned peanuts and the oh so gross boiled peanuts (soooo stinky and disgusting IMHO).

So for lunch Hank got a "beetle burger" from this cool BBQ.... This is where I sampled some flavored peanuts...

This is the Peter Pan racecar; since Jacob LOVES cars we had to check it out. And yes he said "oooo car"...
A tired little Jacob had a great time as did his mommy and daddy...

I would have definitely tried a 'Beetle Burger', too! And I concur on the boiled peanuts--blech!

Looks like fun!
Guess we've watched a lot of Jacob video lately... Ben walks around and makes us laugh when he goes "oooo" in front of anything and everything... and then we call him jacob and he giggles...

That is where ConAgra peanuts come from.. ConAgra Foods is located here.

The burger bug looked really cool.. But you would think if they were gonna bother making a smoker out of a car they'd at least make it a brisket bug.. (or ribs, or pork..)

Tuba, or not tuba ... that is the question said...

Yeah, brisket bug would've been awesome. It smelled AMAZING, even though it was just burgers and hot dogs.
