We made it to Grandma and Grandpa's! :)
We drove down yesterday, with a pit stop in Gainesville to buy some new National Championship Gator gear!
When we woke up this morning, Grandpa told us that the alligator trappers had set a trap yesterday in their yard, and this morning it looked like there was a gator in the trap! The alligator had managed to get the trap line tangled with the ropes holding the rowboat to the dock. Jacob and I saw the alligator floating next to the boat. Meanwhile, Grandpa called the trapper and asked him to come retrieve the gator.
Apparently the alligtor decided to go underwater and try to get loose. In the process, he got caught up in the ropes, and he drowned before the trapper could get there. Here's some video of the trapper pulling the gator up out of the water:

I helped drag the gator up to the driveway, where they measured him. Then the trapper and I lifted the gator up into the back of his pickup. He was still "salvagable," since he hadn't been dead long. They had to drain the blood (no need to describe that process here, unless you want to see your lunch again), then off they went to Dade City.
So, it's been an interesting day!
Meanwhile, it's sooooo hot down here. (How hot is it?) It's so hot that Grandma and Grandpa actually have the a/c running! (Thank goodness!)
Can't wait to see everyone in a few days!

Yipes!
Are you going to take Jacob to the airport by the beach? I don't know if he would like that sorta thing yet.. Ben loves going to ours and watching the planes..
We didn't go to the airport by the beach, but today we went to the beach by the airport. :) Jacob's not really into that yet. He did seem to enjoy seeing all the planes that flew over the beach on their way to/from the airport.
