Road Trip

Hi everyone. We are out of town for a week. Yesterday we drove to Savannah to visit some friends and Monday we are heading to Jacksonville to hang out with more friends and blow stuff up (that's what daddy keeps saying). Guess I'll find out what all that means. Anyway, no pictures of anything yet. Today daddy is golfing with his buddies (I don't thik he knows how - so that should be fun to watch) and mommy is hanging out with her friends and my friend Alex who is 3. I can't wait to play with all his toys! Stay tuned for more updates.

I can stand up ALL BY MYSELF!

After a few seconds (sometimes about a minute), this happens:

Daddy says I'm his "Little Explorer" because I like to find new things to look at. I especially like things like cookbooks, computers, mail, the trash can, or anything else that I'm not supposed to get into. :) Just wait 'til I figure out how to walk -- then I'll really be "exploring!"

Today's Adventures

Today we went to the Thronateeska Heritage Center in Albany where they had a model train exhibit and train museum. It was really cool! It was pretty dark inside so the first 2 pics are not so good. Then you go outside and could see actual train cars. The museum had other exhibits other than trains so it was a pretty good trip and it was free too :) We found out that you can rent out the caboose and have birthday parties. It was set up for a party today so one day that would be a fun place to have Jacob party.

In other news..... Jacob is trying to stand alone without holding on or leaning on anything/one. We have tried and tried to get a picture and video - but once he sees cameras - he drops to crawl and comes after us. We'll keep trying. Oh - and last night we went out for Mexican food. Jacob really eats just about anything - and he enjoyed the chips, rice and beans - and anything else with cheese on it!

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there! Daddy looked and looked and looked for "father & son" t-shirts, but we couldn't find any we liked, so mommy made daddy and me these cool t-shirts on the computer. Mommy said we had to get some pictures in them because the gators might swim away in the wash :) Daddy & I like to make towers and knock them over

A day at the bandroom

Yesterday we went to help daddy at his office - well mommy helped and I played. Daddy made me my very own fort!
I immediately learned how to crawl out of it. Soon after my escape, daddy added reinforcements.

After a few hours of working, all 3 of us had a picnic in my new "cage". We are going to go back a few more times this summer. That will give me more opportunity to figure out a way to escape again :)

Trip to Flint Riverquarium & Ice Cream too!

Yesterday we all went to the Flint Riverquarium. The Flint River is here in town and they have a fun aquarium and theater. We had fun looking at all the fishys and turtles. We even saw alligators! Daddy thought that was the best part for some reason?? Then, we went across the street to Two Scoops ice cream shop and we all had different flavors. I liked them all!

Papaw and Grandma left this morning to go back home. I am sure going to miss them :( We had a great time. (Thanks mom and dad for everything! --TC)

What we've been up to..

Papaw was putting curlers in Grandma's hair cause - since their accident, Grandma can't use her arm good to fix her hair - so when I saw the curlers I took one and Grandma put some in my hair. Daddy said we had to explain this picture. I don't know why, I'm still cute as ever - even with curlers :)

Grandma and Papaw are here! Mommy and Daddy and I drove all the way to Dothan on Saturday so we could drop off the car carrier. Then we went to a couple of flea markets. Finally, it was time to go home. Mommy and Grandma and I got to ride in the new car!

(Note from Daddy: Jim and Sheri were able to get a better price on the car in Lousiana than we were able to get here, so we did the paperwork via DHL and they towed it to Dothan for us. Now back to Jacob.)

On Sunday we all went to church. Today everyone else is "being a bum" while I run around and get into stuff! It's fun. I can reach the stuff on the computer desk now - including the computer! Tomorrow the boys are going to the Barber Shop.

Mommy and Daddy have only taken ONE PICTURE the whole time Grandma and Papaw have been here. Something must be wrong with them, but anyway, here it is. Grandma read my story to me before bedtime last night. I'll see what I can do about getting them to take more pictures.

Meanwhile, it's REALLY hot outside. Daddy says it is almost 100 degrees!

Visit from My Friend Matthew

Hi everyone!
My friend Matthew came today for a visit with his Mommy and Daddy, Miss MaryAnn and Mr. Charles. We had lots of fun playing together. I climbed on the couch; Matthew climbed on me!















Later, I showed him my Fridge Farm (thanks Uncle Pete and Aunt Jenni and Cousin Ben!).

In other news....Mommy and Daddy got me some MegaBloks (they're like Legos) for my birthday. I like playing with them, but Daddy REALLY likes playing with them! He always makes really tall towers. But he forgets that they're MY blocks! So I remind him by KNOCKING HIS TOWER DOWN!

(Daddy's pouty lip is because I'm about to open up a can of MASS DESTRUCTION on his tower!)





Grandma and Papaw are coming Saturday! YAAAAY!!!!!!

Lake Party

Saturday we went to a friend's lake house on Lake Eufala (border between Georgia and Alabama). We've had a drought for about 6 weeks now and don't you know the one day we have an outdoor activity planned, it rains and is 60 degrees! Oh well - we got Jacob on the boat for a ride and he seemed to enjoy it (despite the picture). After the ride it started to really come down so we had to stay indoors the rest of the time. Oh well - we sure need the rain around here. The smoke smell has finally gone away.

Gramma and Papaw are coming this week so we are excited. Dad (Papaw) is also towing our new car so I can't wait for that. We have been looking for about a month and he found the best deal in Louisiana, so we bought it and they are bringing it to us on Thursday. We are getting a 2006 Ford Escape. We'll put a pic on later in the week.

We are enjoying the summer as Hank is home and we are just relaxing every day - it's awsome!
